A major case involving illegal extraction of natural resources has been heard in Tashkent region. In the Akqorghan district court, it was established that the head of a local company unlawfully extracted sand and gravel mixtures without the necessary permits, violating legal requirements. As a result, the state suffered material damage of 552 million soums.
According to the investigation, the company head aimed to profit by exploiting natural resources illegally, causing significant environmental harm in the process. Witnesses and experts were heard in court, and the amount of damage was fully confirmed. Based on the evidence, the court found him guilty and sentenced him to six years in prison.
Additionally, the court ordered him to pay compensation of 552 million soums to the state. This verdict serves as a strong warning to all entrepreneurs and managers regarding the importance of legal compliance in the use of natural resources.
