In Uzbekistan’s Tashkent region, a shocking double murder case has concluded with a 22-year prison sentence.
On March 19, 2024, in Chinoz district, a man stabbed his wife and mother-in-law to death during a domestic dispute. According to the court, the suspect had been living in his mother-in-law’s home and accused his wife of infidelity.
In a fit of rage, he fatally attacked both women using a kitchen knife, which reportedly broke during the assault. Both victims died at the scene.
The court found the man guilty under Article 97, Part 2, Paragraphs “a, j, o, r” of the Uzbek Criminal Code and sentenced him to 22 years of imprisonment.
Authorities emphasize the importance of addressing domestic conflicts promptly to prevent such violent outcomes.
