An underground factory producing counterfeit motor oils and brake fluids for vehicles was uncovered in Samarkand.
The operation was conducted by the local department of the General Prosecutor's Office in cooperation with police officers to protect business rights and consumer safety.
Citizen K.R. and others had rented a house on Uzbekistan 3rd Dead End Street and secretly set up an illicit production facility there.
They were manufacturing fake products under the brand names “Felix”, “Sibiria” and “Rosdot” to sell them as genuine items on the market.
In addition, it was discovered that the factory had illegally tapped into the public power grid, stealing electricity worth 245 million soums.
A criminal case has been opened under the relevant articles of the Criminal Code, and investigative procedures are currently underway.
