Two Migration Agency Employees Arrested for Fraud

To combat illegal migration and prevent our citizens from falling into difficult situations abroad, the employees of the State Security Service conducted operational measures.

In particular, the head specialist of the Migration Agency's branch in Namangan region, abusing his official position, gained the trust of a group of citizens and, in exchange for 41 thousand US dollars, promised to send them to work in South Korea. He was arrested with material evidence.

During the pre-investigation checks, it was found that he was carrying out this illegal activity together with the head specialist of the central apparatus of the Migration Agency, and during the ongoing operational activities, this employee was also arrested after receiving 15 thousand US dollars.

Additionally, it became known that these Migration Agency employees had collected more than 700 thousand US dollars in 2024 for sending over 80 citizens to South Korea, leaving them stranded.

In connection with this, criminal cases have been opened against the individuals under articles 168 and 28,211 of the Criminal Code, and necessary measures are being taken to identify other members of this criminal group and involve them in the investigation.
