A tragic incident occurred at the market in Qarshi city. According to reports circulating on social media, a 12-year-old girl died instantly after a metal pole fell on her head.
On August 26 of this year, in the “Oqtepa” neighborhood of Qarshi city, near the “Orzu” market, at an unfinished multi-story residential complex, labor safety rules were violated. As a result, a metal pole fell from the 10th floor onto the head of U.M., born in 2013. The incident ended fatally on the spot.
Preliminary inspections and forensic medical examinations revealed severe injuries on the victim’s body. There was bleeding into the brain membranes and ventricles, fractures of the parietal and frontal bones with fragmentation, and damage to the base of the skull. A fracture of the left clavicle with displacement was also recorded, as well as bleeding into the lungs, which caused breathing difficulties.
Forensic criminalistics and biological examinations have been appointed in connection with this tragic case, and specialists from the Kashkadarya regional Department of Poverty Reduction and Employment have been involved. An inquiry is currently underway to determine the causes of the incident.
Eyewitnesses and bystanders reported that safety rules at the construction site were clearly not observed. The lack of order and disregard for safety measures in neighborhoods and markets once again demonstrated that such negligence poses a serious threat to human life.
This tragedy has caused great shock and grief among parents, children, and local residents. Law enforcement agencies and the prosecutor’s office are currently gathering and analyzing all information, with the aim of implementing preventive measures and avoiding similar tragedies in the future.
