6 people accused of human trafficking brought to Uzbekistan

Six Uzbek criminals who were on the run in Turkey and wanted internationally were detained and deported to Uzbekistan. This was reported by the National Central Bureau of Interpol in Tashkent.

According to the information, employees of the National Central Bureau of Interpol in Ankara, together with their Uzbek colleagues, carried out a number of operational measures. As a result, individuals accused of human trafficking, fraud on an especially large scale, serious crimes against property, and other offenses were detained.

All persons detained in Turkey and put on international wanted list by judicial and investigative bodies were returned to Uzbekistan in full procedural order. "All six individuals have been handed over to the Tashkent Interpol National Central Bureau and the internal affairs bodies of the Republic of Uzbekistan for further investigative actions," the official statement said.

This event was held on the basis of previously reached agreements and memorandums of cooperation between the National Central Bureaus of Interpol in Tashkent and Ankara. This cooperation plays an important role in combating international offenses and preventing criminals from escaping punishment.
