A serious traffic accident occurred at the entrance to the city of Angren, Tashkent region, via the Kamchik Pass.
According to footage circulating on social networks, a special truck loaded with oil, another truck carrying cement, and several cars were involved in the accident. On a certain section of the road, burning vehicles are also visible.
In one of the videos, you can see a person who got stuck in the truck's cabin getting out. However, it was soon discovered that the truck had completely burned down.
In another image, it is said that there are people who died as a result of the incident. Although the exact number of victims has not yet been disclosed, official data confirmed that people lost their lives as a result of the incident.
According to a statement from the Tashkent Regional Department of Internal Affairs, a criminal case has been initiated under Article 266, Part 3 of the Criminal Code. This means that two or more people died. An investigation is underway.
Due to the accident, traffic was completely stopped, and large traffic jams formed in both directions.
According to the Telegram channel "Kamchikavtoyul," there are interruptions in traffic on the "Tashkent-Vodiy" and "Vodiy-Tashkent" routes between kilometers 93-94 of the "Tashkent-Akhangaran-Angren-Kokand-Shakhrikhan-Andijan" highway.
It is noted that the relevant organizations are currently working to restore traffic and eliminate the consequences.
Thus, the major road accident that occurred at the Kamchik Pass caused difficulties not only with casualties but also for many passengers on the road. The results of the investigation are expected to clarify the causes of the incident.
