Another incident was uncovered in the Bukhara region as part of the fight against crime. On September 10 of this year, an entrepreneur living in Peshku district filed an official complaint with the relevant authorities regarding the illegal actions of the hokim's assistant working in the mahalla citizens' assembly.
According to the content of the application, the hokim's assistant, abusing his official powers, demanded a bribe under the pretext of helping the entrepreneur. It was reported that he demanded 6 thousand US dollars from a citizen in exchange for registering 7 sotkas of land in the reserve of the khokimiyat in the automated information system "K-savdo" and obtaining it through online auctions.
Based on this report, an operational event was organized by employees of the State Security Service, the Department under the Prosecutor General's Office, and internal affairs bodies. According to the report, the governor's assistant was caught red-handed while receiving a $6,000 bribe through a third party.
The results of the preliminary investigation showed that the illegal actions of the khokim's assistant were carried out by abusing the entrepreneur's trust. This clearly shows that he used his official powers to pursue personal interests.
Currently, a criminal case has been initiated against him under Article 210, Part 2, Clause "v" of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan - that is, taking a bribe by an official. The court applied a preventive measure of "imprisonment" to the accused.
