A major case related to the illegal use of electricity has been uncovered in the Samarkand region. During control measures conducted jointly by the regional department of Uzenergoinspektsiya and the prosecutor's office, it was established that the family enterprise "Sh.A." committed a violation of the law.

During the investigation, it became known that the officials of this enterprise arbitrarily connected to the electrical networks and used electricity for a long time without payment. According to preliminary estimates, the total amount of material damage caused to the power supply company amounted to 2 billion 160 million soums. This is a very large indicator.

Officials emphasized that electricity is state property and its illegal use not only causes economic damage but also negatively affects the stable operation of the entire system. Because in such cases, sudden interruptions and malfunctions may occur for other consumers as well.

Currently, relevant documents are being drawn up regarding this violation. Law enforcement agencies have launched a pre-investigation check. Measures are expected to be taken against the guilty parties in accordance with the law.
