Officials of the society reported this situation to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the Chinese Embassy, demanding that the perpetrator be held accountable and even deported.
On September 18, the Yakkasaray District Court sentenced Y.Z. to 5 days of imprisonment in an administrative case. Also, his appeal was rejected. Currently, the issue of his expulsion from the territory of Uzbekistan is being considered.
According to the data, during the first 6 months of this year, 34 people were punished for cruelty to animals, and 2 of them were sentenced to imprisonment.
