The court hearing on the case of Mubashshir Ahmad (Alisher Tursunov), scheduled for September 29, has once again been postponed. The press service of the Tashkent city courts confirmed that the court date was moved to October 2, 16:00, but no official reason was disclosed, reports UZ24.uz.
According to the defender Abdulloh Sodiq, officials explained the delay with the judge's illness.
It should be recalled that the hearing originally scheduled for September 22 had also been postponed to September 29 due to another court case.
The state prosecutor requested that Tursunov be found guilty under Articles 156, 244-1, and 244-3 of the Criminal Code, and be sentenced to 7 years of imprisonment and a fine amounting to 150 times the base calculation value.
The defense side and independent lawyers, on the other hand, demanded the removal of some charges and the annulment of the remaining ones under Article 70 of the Criminal Code.
Initially, the defendant's final statement and the verdict were to be announced on September 22 or 29. Now the trial will continue on October 2.
