Large drug ring dubbed "Deadpool" exposed in Uzbekistan

Uzbekistan’s customs authorities, in cooperation with law enforcement agencies, have uncovered the country’s largest drug network. According to official data, a Telegram drug store called “Deadpool” had been operating since 2017 and had over 4,000 active subscribers.

During multi-stage operations conducted in August–September of this year, the main distributors of the network were arrested.

On August 31, in the Andijan region near the Kyrgyz-Uzbek border, a citizen was detained while receiving 602 grams of the synthetic substance “alfa-PVP.” During interrogation, he admitted that he had been working for the drug store since 2023 and had distributed nearly 50 kilograms of the substance over three years.

On September 10, during a “controlled delivery” operation in Tashkent region, two more citizens were arrested while accepting 492 grams of the synthetic drug “clephedrone.” They confessed that for the past six months, each had been distributing about half a kilogram of synthetic drugs monthly.

According to the investigation, each of these major distributors had at least ten smaller dealers — known as “stashers.” They distributed drugs mainly by hiding them in parks and near educational institutions in Tashkent and Chirchik.

At present, a criminal case has been initiated by the customs authorities, and investigative and operational measures are ongoing.
