Unlicensed services in private clinics exposed

In Uzbekistan, control over the activities of private medical organizations has been strengthened. Based on the presidential decree, the Competition Committee and public organizations inspected about 8.5 thousand clinics.

During the inspections, violations of the law were revealed in many institutions. In particular, 27% of organizations did not operate at the specified address, and 61% do not have price lists. In 20% of cases, information is not provided in the state language.

Most clinics did not comply with the requirements for outdoor advertising. Most importantly, some clinics also provided services not stipulated in the license.

Cases of unlicensed activities were recorded in a number of institutions in Surkhandarya, Tashkent, and Fergana regions. Among them are "SHEROBOD SHIFO MASKANI" and "CHIRCHIK ZINNURA STOM."

The Competition Committee provided information on these cases to the relevant authorities. In subsequent activities, it is planned to strengthen public control.

For information, in 2024, the number of private medical organizations was 8,343, and by the beginning of 2025, this figure was 8,486.
