A court employee was caught with a bribe in Bukhara region, reported the State Security Service (SSS) press service. The operation was carried out by the SSS and the Department under the Prosecutor General's Office.
During the operation, a senior employee of the archive of the Gijduvan district court was caught receiving $600. It was revealed that he had promised, for a total of $700, through acquaintances, to help mitigate and subsequently not change the sentence of the defendant in a criminal case being heard in the Kogon city court. It was also determined that he had previously received $100.
A criminal case has been initiated regarding this situation. Investigative actions are currently ongoing. Detention as a preventive measure has been applied to the suspect.
