In Andijan region, medicines of unguaranteed quality with a total value of more than 216.8 million soums, which were supposed to be illegally put up for sale, were discovered.
During an operational event conducted jointly with the Andijan Regional Department of the Department under the Prosecutor General's Office, the Internal Affairs Department, and the Customs Department, G.B. and his accomplices were detained while attempting to illegally deliver 200 units of the drug "Vokartin" to a private hospital in the Izboskan district in a Tracker car.
During the operation, 3,525 units of 16 types of medicines were seized as material evidence. Their total value was 216.8 million soums.
A criminal case has been initiated under Article 186-3 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan, and an investigation is currently underway.
Authorities urge the population to purchase legal and licensed medicines only through official pharmacies.
