On October 28, a DAF truck caught fire on the M-39 "Almaty-Bishkek-Tashkent-Termez" highway passing through the Surkhandarya region.
According to the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the incident was reported at 08:54. The rescue and fire brigade immediately arrived at the scene. The fire was contained at 09:43 and completely extinguished at 09:55.
According to preliminary information, the foam products in the engine compartment, cab, and cargo compartment of the truck were completely burned. No one was injured as a result of the incident.
Officials stated that traffic was temporarily suspended during the fire, but traffic has now been fully restored.
Currently, the causes of the fire and the amount of material damage caused are being determined. Experts believe that the accident may have been caused by a malfunction in electrical components or technical overheating.
The Ministry of Emergency Situations reported that thanks to prompt measures taken at the scene, the fire was prevented from spreading to a wider area.
