Uz24.uz reported that starting from April 1, radars will record not only fines, but also penalty points. In this regard, a question arises: if someone other than the owner drives the vehicle, who receives the penalty points?
According to a government decree, the procedure for distributing penalty points between the owner of the vehicle and the driver using the vehicle on a civil-legal basis (via power of attorney, insurance policy, or waybill) has been determined.
For this, the owner opens a personal account in the relevant information system. If they wish to let another person drive the car, they specify the driver in the personal account. The indicated person must log into the system and confirm the information.
If the receiving person does not confirm the information, the penalty points will be recorded against the owner of the vehicle (if they have a driver's license).
If the owner does not have a driver's license and the total points exceed 12, such a vehicle will be temporarily placed in an impound lot.
