In the Kungrad district, a citizen who failed to repay his bank debt had his car seized and sold at auction, reported the Karakalpakstan Department of the Bureau of Compulsory Enforcement.
According to the information, based on a court decision, debtor K.Sh. was ordered to pay 282.5 million soums to the “Business Development Bank.” His JETOUR DASHING vehicle, purchased on credit, was designated as collateral for the debt.
The state enforcement officer granted the debtor a 15-day voluntary period to settle the payment and warned him about the consequences of non-compliance. However, the debt was not repaid within the given time frame.
As a result, the car was officially seized and put up for sale through an electronic online auction. During the auction held on September 29, it was sold for 222 million soums.
The proceeds from the sale were transferred to the bank. Officials stated that such cases once again serve as a reminder of the importance of repaying debts voluntarily.
