What measures were taken against enterprises that cause harm to the atmosphere?

The Ministry of Ecology, Environmental Protection and Climate Change of the Republic of Uzbekistan temporarily suspended the activities of 106 enterprises in the city of Tashkent and Tashkent region, which caused damage to the environment.

This measure is being implemented to ensure the implementation of Cabinet of Ministers Resolution No. 59-F dated February 8, 2025. Specially created working groups studied more than 4.8 thousand objects. Of these, 595 were greenhouse farms, and the rest were social and industrial enterprises.

During the inspections, it was found that harmful gases, dust, and smoke were released into the atmosphere in some farms. As a result, administrative fines were imposed on 58 greenhouse farms, and the activities of 106 farms were suspended.

Also, 387 facilities received official warnings not to violate environmental requirements and not to burn film, tires, and plant debris.

According to the Ministry, control measures will be systematically continued, and strict measures will be taken against entities that violate environmental legislation.
