In Andijan, a judge of an arbitration court was detained by the State Security Service on suspicion of accepting a bribe. According to the SSS, the judge promised to send two citizens living in the Andijan region to South Korea as seasonal workers through his high-ranking acquaintances.
In exchange for this "service," he demanded $15,000 from the citizens and received $4,100 as an advance under the pretext of speeding up the work.
However, the judge failed to fulfill his promise and was caught red-handed by officers of the State Security Service and the Department for Combating Economic Crimes while returning part of the money.
Currently, a criminal case has been initiated against him under Article 168, Part 3, Clause "a" and Article 28, Part 2, Clause "b" of the Criminal Code. A preventive measure of "imprisonment" was applied to him. The investigation is ongoing.
