A high-speed mistake cost the life of a YPX employee

Another tragic road incident occurred in Namangan. On November 25, in a traffic accident that happened in the Yangi Namangan district, a traffic police officer died. This was reported by the spokesperson of the Road Traffic Safety Service, Zoir Yuldoshev.

According to the information, at around 19:55 on Islam Karimov Street, an 18-year-old driver who did not have a driver’s licence, while driving an Onix car at high speed and improperly overtaking a vehicle moving in the same direction, hit a pedestrian crossing the road at an unregulated pedestrian crossing.

The pedestrian who was hit was a traffic police officer of the Navoi region Department of Internal Affairs, 28-year-old safdor Doniyor Nurilloyev, who died at the scene due to severe bodily injuries. According to the information, he had come to the Ministry of Internal Affairs hospital located in the Yangi Namangan district for treatment.

A criminal case has been initiated by the Yangi Namangan district prosecutor’s office regarding this incident, and initial investigative actions are underway.
