The serious road traffic accident that occurred in the Bekabad district has sparked widespread discussion on social media. According to reports, an оператив officer of the Criminal Investigation Department of the Internal Affairs Department, driving a Nexia-3 vehicle, hit a pedestrian, as a result of which a 43-year-old man died.
According to the press secretary of the Prosecutor General’s Office, Hayot Shamsutdinov, the incident occurred on December 11 of this year at the 64th kilometer of the “Korasuv–Buka–Bekabad” highway. A white Nexia-3 vehicle struck a pedestrian, and as a result of the traffic accident, citizen B.U. died.
In connection with this incident, on December 12, the Bekabad District Prosecutor’s Office initiated a criminal case under Part 2 of Article 266 (violation of traffic safety or vehicle operation rules) and Part 2 of Article 117 (leaving a person in danger) of the Criminal Code. A preventive measure in the form of detention was applied to the suspect.
At present, оператив-search measures aimed at locating the body of the deceased are ongoing. All circumstances of the incident are expected to be given a full legal assessment by law enforcement authorities.
