A serious road traffic accident involving cargo vehicles in the Jizzakh region resulted in the death of one person. The tragedy occurred on December 17 at around 03:20 a.m. on the Tashkent–Termez highway passing through the Sharaf Rashidov district.
According to available information, an Isuzu cargo truck transporting pharmaceutical products from Samarkand to Tashkent collided with the trailer of a Howo truck traveling in the same direction. Preliminary reports indicate that the accident was caused by the Isuzu driver falling asleep at the wheel.
As a result of the collision, the Isuzu driver, Sh.M., born in 1996, sustained severe injuries and died at the scene. Relevant investigative procedures are currently underway.
Experts urge drivers, especially during nighttime hours, to avoid driving while fatigued or drowsy. A moment of inattention can lead to serious consequences.
