In Denov, captivity and torture were exposed under the pretext of bail

A serious case related to the illegal detention of a Tajik citizen has been revealed in the Denau district of Surkhandarya region. According to the State Security Service, a resident of the city of Denau, born in 1993, previously convicted, was detained as a suspect in this case.
According to official information, he held a citizen of the Republic of Tajikistan, born in 1993, residing in Dushanbe, in captivity for a certain period of time. During the investigation, it was revealed that the basis of this incident is related to debt relations.
In particular, a person from Denau gave 11 thousand US dollars to an acquaintance living in Dushanbe, born in 1988. However, it is said that after the funds were not returned on time, he kept his acquaintance's partner in the city of Denau as a "hostage."
The most difficult thing is that the pressure on the detained citizen increased after the money was not returned. According to sources, he was subjected to various tortures and consequently suffered serious bodily injuries.
A criminal case has been initiated against the suspect. The investigation is ongoing, and a preventive measure of detention has been applied to him.
Such cases once again show that circumventing the law does not "solve the issue," but, on the contrary, leads to serious responsibility. Now law enforcement agencies will give a full legal assessment of the case.
