A group of Uzbek citizens left without work and money in Serbia has been returned to their homeland

With the assistance of the Embassy of Uzbekistan, a group of Uzbek citizens left in difficult financial situations in Serbia, in particular, our compatriots from the Kashkadarya region, were returned to their Homeland. This was reported by official sources of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
They contacted the consular department of the Embassy in Serbia and stated that they do not have the financial means to return to Uzbekistan. It is noted that the Serbian employer did not legally register them and did not conclude a formal employment contract, as a result of which they were left without wages for three months.
In order to assist in the return of our compatriots in the difficult situation, the Embassy cooperated with the Agency for External Labor Migration and the Migrant Support Fund.
As a result of the cooperation, air tickets were purchased for them free of charge, and our compatriots returned home safely.
