An industrial-scale natural gas flow has been obtained from five wells belonging to Uzbekneftegaz JSC, the company's press service reported.
It is noted that a new high-pressure gas field was discovered in the territory of Karakalpakstan. In addition, industrial gas inflows were recorded from three wells in Kashkadarya region and one well in Bukhara region.
Currently, tests are being conducted to determine the gas flow rate, i.e., the daily volume and composition of the gas in these wells. It is said that specialists will determine further work plans based on the results.
The company emphasizes that well repair work is also yielding results. In particular, well No. 7 of the Shimoliy Berdak field, located in the Ustyurt region and previously estimated to have exhausted reserves, was put back into operation after repairs.
As a result, natural gas production from this well was again achieved on an industrial scale. "Uzbekneftegaz" noted that such measures will serve to expand production opportunities.
