A 9-year-old boy died in a road accident in the Balikchi district of the Andijan region. This was reported by the regional Road Safety Department.
According to the information, on February 24 at 15:56, an accident involving a ZIL-130 truck occurred at the 103rd kilometer of the "Fergana Ring Road" on the D-105 highway passing through the "Eski Markaz" neighborhood.
A truck driven by the driver A.J., born in 2002, abruptly ran out of the pedestrian crossing at a regulated intersection and hit H.M., born in 2017. The driver, who lost control, also collided with a Cobalt parked at the intersection.
A minor pedestrian with serious injuries was taken to the hospital. However, despite the medical assistance provided by the doctors, the child died.
A criminal case has been initiated under Article 266, Part 2 of the Criminal Code. An investigation is currently underway.
