The head of the presidential administration, Saida Mirziyoyeva, announced that practical work has begun within the framework of the implementation of the presidential decree on modernizing the transport system. He emphasized that concrete steps are now being taken to reduce traffic congestion, improve the environmental situation, and strengthen control over public transport, which is one of the most pressing issues in the capital.
It was reported that a presentation was held at the Road Traffic Organization Center, which was specially created to implement this decision. Priority tasks for the effective management of traffic, pedestrian and passenger flows, reduction of traffic jams, and strengthening road safety in the city of Tashkent were considered. It is said that this center itself was created on the basis of a presidential decree to introduce a new model of traffic management in the capital.
According to the reports, in the coming days, large-scale work will begin in Tashkent to install "smart" traffic lights, update road markings in accordance with international standards, and regulate parking lots. It is noted that these updates are aimed at making urban traffic more orderly, safer, and more modern.
Saida Mirziyoyeva expressed hope that the team led by the mayor will mobilize all their strength and capabilities to ensure the full implementation of this decision. At the same time, he stated that he would personally monitor the implementation of the project. This indicates the high level of attention paid to transport reforms, which are considered important for the capital.
In general, this project, which is very relevant for Tashkent, is aimed at making the transport system more efficient, safe, and convenient. If the planned work is consistently implemented, traffic congestion on the capital's streets may be reduced, the culture of movement improved, and the efficiency of public transport increased significantly.
