Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Uzbekistan Mohammad Ali Iskandari held a meeting with media representatives in Tashkent against the backdrop of intense military operations and political changes in the region. In his speech, the ambassador interpreted the current situation not only as an armed conflict, but also as a huge ideological struggle.
The head of the Iranian diplomatic mission emphasized that the attacks initiated by the US and Israel were completely unexpected and based on "fraud." The reason was that diplomatic negotiations were still ongoing at the time of the strikes, and a visit of the US Vice President to the region was expected.
1. "We don't ask anyone for help"
Iskandari stated that Iran's will is strong and the country is capable of independently ensuring its defense:
- Ideological struggle: This is not just a war against two states, but a struggle against an ideological system that wants to take control of everything in the world.
- Iroda said: "We are not afraid of difficulties and will definitely overcome them."
2. Solidarity with Uzbekistan
Against the backdrop of the tragic events in the region, the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev expressed condolences on the death of the Supreme Leader of Iran Ali Khamenei. According to the ambassador, such sympathy from official Tashkent and the Uzbek people is a source of spiritual strength for Iran.
3. Why are there so many casualties in Iran?
In response to a Kun.uz reporter's question, "Why are there so few casualties in Israel and so many in Iran?"
- Financial imbalance: Western countries have been supporting Israel since 1945, with $50 billion in aid recently provided. The annual military budget of the USA is several times larger than the entire state budget of Iran.
- The courage of the people: Instead of hiding in shelters during the attack, Iranians are taking to the streets demanding their rights.
- "Secondary Strike" tactics: The ambassador claims that the US military is repeatedly striking a place where people have gathered to help those under the rubble.
4. The life of the Supreme Leader and the pride of "martyrdom"
Muhammad Ali Iskandari, commenting on the death of Ali Khaminai, specifically noted his simple lifestyle:
- Renouncing luxury: The Supreme Leader lived in a very modest house for 37 years and refused to move to palaces.
- The issue of immunity: Despite the fact that heads of state should be inviolable under international law, these norms have been violated.
- Honorable death: "Martyrdom is the highest status for us. Our leader passed away with pride, surrounded by his family," the diplomat added.
These statements by the Iranian ambassador show how deeply rooted the conflict in the region is. The further development of the situation depends not only on military strength, but also on the effectiveness of international diplomacy.
