In the city of Karshi, law enforcement officers have uncovered individuals engaged in fraud against taxi drivers. The criminals, pretending to be ordinary passengers, tried to obtain bank information from drivers through various tricks and pretexts.

According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, these individuals placed taxi orders through special mobile applications. Upon arrival at the destination, they told the drivers that there was "no cash" and asked them to pay by card. Through this trick, the scammers obtained the drivers' bank card information and SMS verification codes.

During the operational-tactical measures, a 22-year-old resident of Fergana was identified and fully confessed to his crimes. Currently, a criminal case has been initiated on this fact, and an investigation is underway.

At the same time, it was reported that fake shares distributed on social networks in the name of well-known companies were also identified. In such fraud, citizens are promised an apartment, vouchers, or free internet, but in reality, the goal is to extract their personal and financial information.

Experts and law enforcement agencies advise citizens to be vigilant in such cases and not to disclose personal bank information to anyone. This will be an important factor in preventing such fraud in the future.
