Man harassed woman in metro and sentenced to five days detention

On March 6, on the metro line between “Pakhtakor” and “Novza” stations, a 27-year-old man from Namangan repeatedly touched a woman in the carriage, causing her discomfort.

In court, he partially admitted his guilt, explaining his actions by the large number of passengers in the carriage and expressing remorse for what he did.

Chilonzor District Criminal Court found him guilty and sentenced him to 5 days of administrative detention.

This incident is regarded as an important lesson, highlighting metro safety and public order.
