A video message about a minor girl being physically and psychologically abused by her stepmother in Tashkent has been circulating on social networks. This situation has caused widespread discussion, and an urgent investigation has been conducted by the Tashkent City Internal Affairs Department.
According to the results of the investigation, it was found that N.Sh., born in 1985, repeatedly beat and physically abused her stepchild N.G., born in 2013, in a residential apartment in Yunusabad district. The victim had not previously applied to the Internal Affairs Department.
Currently, the minor girl is being placed in the Center for Social and Legal Assistance to Minors of the Tashkent City Internal Affairs Department and is under state protection.
In connection with this case, the Investigation Department under the Federal Bureau of Investigation of the Yunusabad District Internal Affairs Department has filed a complaint against N.Sh. A criminal case has been initiated against him under Article 110 (“Torture”) of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan. The investigation will be conducted in a complete and comprehensive manner, ensuring that a legal decision is made. The case continues under the control of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
