A woman involved in illegally sending girls abroad was detained in Tashkent.
It was reported that the case was exposed during an operation conducted jointly by the State Security Service and internal affairs bodies.
According to the investigation, the suspect, acting as a representative of a criminal group, recruited girls by deception and was engaged in sending them abroad for sexual exploitation.
She was stopped at Tashkent International Airport while taking one of the four girls to Dubai with her.
On this matter, a criminal case has been opened against her under Article 135 of the Criminal Code, and a pretrial detention measure has been applied.
Investigative actions are currently ongoing in the case.
Under the law, such crimes are punishable by 5 to 10 years in prison.
