The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan has taken effective measures to return a group of citizens from Iran to their homeland. It is reported that 41 Uzbek citizens were safely evacuated in transit through Turkmenistan.

According to Dunyo, the process was organized in close cooperation with diplomatic missions in Ashgabat and Tehran, as well as relevant Turkmen authorities. It is noted that visa processing and transport-logistics issues were resolved in a short time.

The citizens were met at the 'Sarakhs-Serakhs' and 'Gaudan-Bajgiran' border crossing points and returned to Uzbekistan accompanied by diplomats. Their safety was fully ensured throughout the journey.

Officials emphasized that this practical step once again demonstrates that protecting the interests of citizens is a priority in Uzbekistan's foreign policy. Furthermore, this process showed the high level of mutual trust and good neighborly relations between countries in the region.
