Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola shared his honest and open thoughts after the 1-0 Premier League win over Wolverhampton Wanderers.
The experienced Spanish coach said that the team is progressing well, but was critical of the quality of the game.
"Of course, if we look at the results, we are better than before. But if we look at the quality of the game, we still need to improve in many ways. In the first 20 minutes of the game, the opponent left us behind, they created several dangerous chances. It is true that we were lucky, it would not be an exaggeration. We could not fully play our style in today's game. However, our goal is clear and we will continue to strive for it," said Guardiola.
According to the coach, the current state of the team feels better than it was a few weeks ago.
"We've been winning the last few games, and our opponents are dropping points. If we continue to play like we did today, it's not a bad result. But the main thing is to never let our guard down. Difficult victories like these remind us that we still have a lot to work on," the City manager said.
