Trump wished the Uzbekistan national team good luck

Former US President Donald Trump expressed support for the Uzbekistan national football team, wishing them good luck ahead of the 2026 World Cup. This was stated during his telephone conversation with Shavkat Mirziyoyev. This was reported by Kursiv.media.

As a reminder, next year's World Cup will be held from June to July in the USA, Mexico, and Canada.

But the conversation wasn't limited to football alone. The leaders discussed strategic areas of cooperation between Tashkent and Washington. In particular, it was noted that trade turnover between the two countries increased by 15% last year.

Trump praised the reforms in "New Uzbekistan" and expressed his readiness to support them, noting their importance for modernizing the economy and improving the lives of the population.

Joint projects in such areas as aviation, energy, agro-industry, and finance were also discussed. In addition, the parties discussed issues of regional policy, including the C5+1 format.

Mirziyoyev invited Trump to visit Uzbekistan at any time convenient for him. The warm dialogue and joint plans strengthen the hope for closer cooperation in the future.
