30-year-old Uzbek professional boxer and interim WBA champion Murodjon Akhmadaliev shared his thoughts ahead of a big fight against Japanese world champion Naoya Inoue.
While acknowledging his opponent's great achievements, Ahmadaliyev also paid special attention to his own strengths:
"As an athlete, I deeply respect Inoue. His goals are truly ambitious. He is undoubtedly skilled in boxing, but I am better than him as a fighter. He has speed and strength, but I have more than him. He defeated all his opponents in the lightweight category, and now he is competing in the 55.3 kg category.
But this very division is my field. I can be a serious challenge for any opponent in this category. This is my weight, and my body is my weapon. And I am precisely that weapon," Akhmadaliev emphasized.
As a reminder, the clash between Murodjon Ahmadaliyev, who represents Uzbekistan, and the renowned Japanese boxer Naoya Inoue will take place tomorrow, September 14th, in Nagoya. The fight will start after 16:30 Tashkent time.
This clash is of great interest not only to Uzbek fans but also to boxing fans worldwide.
