Following the 2-0 victory over Neftchi and Andijon in the 24th round of the Super League, the visitors' coach, Maksim Shatskikh, spoke at a press conference about the team's current situation and future plans.
According to Shatskikh, a tight calendar in a short period of time had a serious impact on the players:
"I don't talk much about the game. Fatigue was clearly felt in the guys - we had five matches in a short time. Nevertheless, they tried to give the maximum on the field. The opponent is also very strong in terms of squad and game discipline. There's a break ahead - it's precisely during this time that we'll come to our senses," said the coach.
To the question of whether the goalkeeper made a mistake in the first goal, Shatskikh defended his teammate:
"I don't blame the goalkeeper. Yes, the ball came in from a close angle, but the shot was unexpected. Everything will be seen in video analysis, then we will come to a complete conclusion. For now, it's not about finding fault, but about finding a reason."
Noting Andijan's chances of remaining in the Super League at the end of the tournament, he gave a brief answer:
"We'll find out in December," Shatskikh said briefly, but meaningfully.
Thus, the main task at "Andijan" is the effective use of the break: recovery, recovery from injuries, encryption of tactical details, and increasing psychological preparedness. If the team returns healthy for the next matches, it's natural for both points and morale to return. And the fans should continue to support the team before the intense finish - the power of the stands at crucial moments is also a part of the result.
