Messi, on the other hand, provided two assists in the Argentina – Puerto Rico (6:0) friendly, taking his total number of assists in the national team to 60. In this regard, he surpassed Neymar and Landon Donovan.

Today, Ronaldo holds the record as the top scorer in the history of national teams — 142 goals. Messi is the owner of 8 Ballon d'Or awards.
