Manchester City head coach Pep Guardiola spoke about the team’s condition ahead of the match against Everton. According to the Spanish manager, key midfielder Rodri is still not ready to return to the pitch.
“Rodri? There’s no news yet. Unfortunately, he won’t be available for tomorrow’s game. I don’t know exactly when he’ll return. But his recovery is very important for the team,” said Guardiola to the club’s press service.
The coach also commented on Mateo Kovacic’s condition: “Kovacic can play 50–60 minutes. His gradual return to form is important for us.”
Guardiola also shared positive updates on Marmoush and Ait-Nouri: “Both trained with the team yesterday. They felt good. We expect them to rejoin the squad soon.”
The Catalan coach’s remarks further increased fans’ anticipation for the match. In recent rounds, City has been forced to rotate due to injuries, but Guardiola emphasized that the team’s spirit remains strong.
