Real Madrid midfielder Federico Valverde helped his team secure a victory (2:1) over Barcelona in La Liga matchday 10. The Uruguayan player performed in an unusual position for him, playing at right-back.
The 27-year-old midfielder played on the field until the 72nd minute before being substituted by Dani Carvajal. According to journalist Sergio Kirante, Valverde was not in good health before El Clasico: he was diagnosed with gastroenteritis.
Nevertheless, he started the decisive match in the starting lineup. After this victory, the "Royal club" is now five points ahead of the "blaugrana" in the Spanish championship.
