Our young athletes won 16 medals at the Asian Games

The III Asian Youth Games, taking place in the capital of Bahrain, Manama, are in full swing. The Uzbekistan national team achieved impressive results in this prestigious youth competition.

At the end of yesterday's competitions, our young athletes won a total of 16 medals. Notably, 5 of them won gold, 5 silver, and 6 bronze medals. This indicator keeps our national team at a high level in the overall team standings.

In weightlifting, Munisbek Davletov demonstrated true mastery in his weight category. He also became a two-time champion in the snatch and clean and jerk in the -88 kg weight category. This was one of his important steps in defending the honor of the country.

At the same time, Dilafruz Boltaboeva (-40 kg) and Abubakr Sattorov (-55 kg) also won gold medals in judo. They skillfully defeated their opponents and once again raised the flag of Uzbekistan high.

In the freestyle wrestling discipline, Bunyod Rufatov (-80 kg) prevailed in the final and secured the fifth gold medal for our national team. His willpower and endurance in the fight were met with great interest by the coaches and fans.

Also, a number of our athletes increased the prestige of our country with silver medals. Among them are Alina Kolyucheva (-44 kg), Davlat Akhrorov (-60 kg), Shahobiddin Nurmanov (-48 kg), Shohista Shonazarova (-43 kg), and weightlifter Shahnoza Khaydarova (-69 kg). They reached the final and fought well against strong opponents.

The number of bronze medals is not insignificant - 6 young athletes of our country became prize-winners. In judo, Shohjahon Usmonov (-50 kg) and Zuhra Alimova (-52 kg), and in freestyle wrestling, Abdumalik Jaloldinov (-55 kg), Shohiddin Aliyev (-65 kg), Dilnura Avezova (-57 kg), and Muhayyo Rahimjonova (-69 kg) won prizes.

According to the NOC, the national team is in the top seven not only by the number of medals, but also by the overall result. Our young athletes speak their minds every day, and this is the result of their dedicated work.

The competitions are not yet complete - representatives of our country will participate in such disciplines as boxing, athletics, and swimming. Fans are expecting new victories from them. At the III Asian Youth Games, the delegation of Uzbekistan still worthily defends its name, and each medal adds a new page to the history of the country's sports.
