The III Youth Asian Games, held in the capital of Bahrain, Manama, have entered an active phase. On the first day of the competition, judo competitions were held, and members of the Uzbekistan national team achieved a brilliant result.
Our young judokas showed a high result on the very first day of the competition, winning a total of 6 medals. Among them are 2 gold, 2 silver, and 2 bronze medals. This result earned our team a place among the leading countries from the very first days of the competition.
Gold medalists Dilafruz Boltaboeva (-40 kg) and Abubakr Sattorov (-55 kg) skillfully defeated their opponents and secured convincing victories in the final. They proved to be one of the most active and strong athletes not only in their weight categories, but also among all the participants of the competition.
The silver medals went to Alina Kolyucheva (-44 kg) and Davlat Akhrorov (-60 kg). They successfully reached the final, but lost to their opponents by a minimal margin in the decisive match. At the same time, their willpower and physical preparedness in wrestling were highly appreciated by specialists.
On the same day, Shohjahon Usmonov (-50 kg) and Zuhra Alimova (-52 kg) also performed well and won bronze medals. Although they did not reach the finals, they confidently demonstrated themselves in the fights and demonstrated their wrestling skills.
According to the Judo Federation of Uzbekistan, these results are the result of the systematic training and experience of the youth national team in international competitions. The competition in Bahrain is still ongoing, and members of our delegation plan to compete in many more disciplines in the coming days.
Thus, our young judokas, having started the Asian Games with high spirits and convincing results, once again raised the flag of Uzbekistan high in the international sports arena. And the fans are waiting for new victories in the coming days.
