Liverpool head coach Arne Slot shared his thoughts about Xabi Alonso’s career at the press conference held before the Champions League game against Real Madrid. Xabi Alonso once played for Liverpool and is currently working as a coach in Spain.

“He is doing a fantastic job at Real. Xabi was here, at Liverpool, became a Champions League winner, and made a huge impact on the team’s play.

He is still remembered not only as a great footballer, but also as an excellent person. People here still speak warmly of him,” said Slot.
