
In the first round of the VI Islamic Solidarity Games in Qatar, the Uzbekistan national futsal team played against Saudi Arabia. The match was very intense and full of struggles. At the end of the match, the Uzbekistan national team won with a score of 5:2.
The first half was relatively evenly contested. Saudi Arabia's Abdullah Ali Almachrabi opened the scoring, but our team's response didn't take long - Muzaffar Ahadjonov equalized before the end of the first half.
In the second half, the advantage was entirely on the side of Uzbek futsal players. Muhammadali Husanboyev put our team ahead, after which the goals of Akbar Usmanov and Mashrab Adilov further strengthened the advantage. The Saudis managed to score one goal thanks to Saleh Alkarni, but with one minute left, Abbos Elmurodov scored our team's fifth goal and set the final score - 5:2.
This victory was of great importance for the start of the Islamic Games. The Uzbekistan national team actively began the competition and demonstrated its intention to show high results in the following stages.
The coaching staff expressed satisfaction with the team's performance after the game and emphasized the need to further increase confidence in defense and make effective use of standard situations in subsequent matches.
With this victory, the Uzbekistan national team took the lead in Group "A" and gained a psychological advantage before the next matches.
