The head coach of Dortmund's Borussia club, Niko Kovach, commented on the defeat (1:4) in the match against Manchester City in the Champions League. The "Citizens" scored two goals in both halves.
The goals were scored by Phil Foden (brace), Erling Haaland, and Rayan Cherki. The only goal for the visitors was scored by Waldemar Anton.
"We saw how strong Manchester City is. In the first 15 minutes, we played well, controlled the ball and the game.
But then the opponent increased the pace and showed their skills. You can't afford to make mistakes in games like this.
But this was an important experience for us – we learned a lot. We have no choice but to congratulate Manchester City.
This team is of the highest level. They made the most of their chances, while we did not.
That was the difference," Kovach said in an interview with UEFA's official website. Borussia is currently in 14th place in the overall Champions League table with 7 points.
