The Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) officially announced that young player Lamine Yamal has been excluded from the national team. According to the federation, Yamal underwent an invasive radiofrequency procedure on November 10 to treat leg pain during the national team meeting.
The medical staff noted that the player did not inform them about the procedure in advance. The report showed that the details of the procedure were known only at 22:40, and the player was advised to rest for 7–10 days. This seriously affected the national team’s plans and training.
For this reason, RFEF decided to exclude Yamal from the national team. The federation emphasized that the player’s safety was a priority and that this was the right decision for the team.
The statement reminded all players and team staff to strictly follow safety and medical procedures. The federation called for preventing such incidents in the future.
