The group stage of the U-17 World Cup in Qatar has officially concluded. The Uzbekistan youth national team successfully participated in this stage, scored 6 points, and took 2nd place in Group "J" and qualified for the playoff stage of the competition.
Our youth, led by Islambek Ismailov, secured convincing victories in the group against Panama and Paraguay. Only a point lost in the match against Ireland put them one step below the group lead. Nevertheless, the team won the hearts of fans with their game, discipline, and teamwork.
Now our national team faces an even more crucial test - a playoff match against Croatia. The representatives of Europe took part in Group "C" and took 2nd place with 7 points. Senegal, in terms of goal difference and indicators, surpassed them and finished as the group leader.
The match between Croatia and Uzbekistan will take place on November 14. This match is an important stage for our team, as the winner advances to the quarterfinals. If Uzbekistan successfully passes this stage, the next opponent will be the winner of the Austrian-Czech pair.
To date, the Uzbekistan youth national team has demonstrated fighting spirit, enthusiasm, and confidence on the field. Islombek Ismoilov's students are proving that they are a stable team not only in terms of results but also in terms of morale. The 6-1 victory over Panama and a beautiful match against Paraguay keep the team's morale high.
Croatia is a technically and physically challenging opponent. They play football based on passes, characteristic of European traditions, but Uzbek footballers can gain an advantage in speed and active movement around the penalty area.
The coaching staff is currently in a serious preparation process with the team. Islambek Ismailov said in one of his interviews:
"Each stage is a new opportunity for us. Young players gain experience in every game. We will mobilize all our strength to worthily defend the honor of the Motherland even in the playoff match."
Football experts also positively assess the capabilities of the Uzbekistan youth team. They believe the team is showing growth in every game, and this trend could continue in the playoffs.
The match, which will take place on November 14, will be of great importance not only for the fate of the tournament, but also for the international experience of the younger generation of football players. And the national team fans are looking forward to this game with great hope and confidence - because these young people are the new generation that forms the basis of our future football, and their spirit seems to be enough for a real victory.
