In the 1/16 finals of the U-17 World Cup, the Uzbekistan youth team performed in a fighting spirit, as the fans expected, and demonstrated their skills in a tough match against Croatia. Until the end of the evening, it consisted of mental pressure, agility, and a test of strong willpower. After the regular time, which ended with a score of 1:1, our guys won with a score of 3:4 in the penalty shootout and advanced to the quarterfinals.

From the beginning of the match, the intensity of the game was high. The squad under Islombek Ismoilov did not give up on the fight for every goal. In the 24th minute, Sadriddin Hasanov converted a skillful pass from Sayfiddin Sodiqov to open the scoring. The solution now lies with the penalty - the moment has begun when each shot has a decisive value. The youth of Uzbekistan, not succumbing to their emotions, overcame the psychological pressure and, thanks to the unity of the striker and defenders, won with a score of 3:4.

The refereeing team - Tanguy Mebiame (Gabon), Alao Salim (Benin), Abeigne Amos (Gabon) and Filip Duyich (Canada) - carefully monitored the situations during the match and ensured the discipline of the game.

During the match, a number of players received warnings. In particular, Muhammad Hakimov and Sayfiddin Sodiqov from Uzbekistan received their cards, while Duje Slishkovich and Leon Jakirovich from Croatia received their cards.

This game was not just a result, but a game of character, patience, tone, and willpower. Our national team's successful completion of this stage of the playoffs inspired new hopes and dreams in the hearts of the fans. Now our team will face an even stronger opponent, the Italy U-17 national team, in the quarter-finals, and this will certainly be another big challenge.

We wish our youth good luck - today they demonstrated a true lesson of courage.
