Former CSKA footballer Aleksandr Grishin criticized Aleksey Batrokov's performance during Russia's national team training camp in November. The "Lokomotiv" midfielder played the full match against Peru and participated in the first half of the game against Chile.
However, according to the expert, Batrokov did not display the expected qualities during his national team appearances. Grishin noted that while Batrokov is accustomed to showing decisive moments at the club level, this was not evident in the national team.
"We did not see Batrokov in his usual form in either game. He should be the leader of the national team and resolve critical episodes.
However, at the moment, he seems to be losing himself within the national team," the expert emphasized during a "Match TV" broadcast. It should be noted that the Russian national team drew 1-1 with Peru on November 12 and suffered a 2-0 defeat against Chile on November 15.
